Please make sure to contact AnchorRides: Senior Citizens Program to confirm details of their transportation services.
Provides rides for any purpose, as long as you meet one of the following criteria: you are 60+ years old.
The Community Transportation Program offers an affordable and convenient way for older adults to get around using public transit services. Riders in the program can enjoy the ease of traveling by bus or train for a suggested donation of $3.50 per ride in the core area and $5.50 in the premium area. Scheduling rides a few days in advance ensures a seamless experience, and shared rides make it a social and cost-effective option for older adults to reach their destinations. This program emphasizes inclusivity by providing curb-to-curb transportation and welcoming service animals on board. Best of all, this program comes at no cost, making it a fantastic transportation solution for older adults looking to stay connected in their community.
Service Area
The Anchorage bowl stretches from the Glenn Highway Weigh Station in the north to Potter Marsh in the south. ***Note: Senior Citizen services are not available north of Eagle River/Chugiak; please use the Connect Service.***
