The Volunteer Transportation program offers older adults convenient and reliable transportation services through the use of volunteer drivers. Riders can enjoy the flexibility of scheduling their trips in advance, ensuring they can attend appointments, run errands, or socialize with friends and family without any hassle. The program provides door-to-door transportation, meaning older adults can be picked up right at their doorstep and dropped off at their desired destination. When utilizing the Volunteer Transportation program, riders can expect a pickup fee of $2.00 and are charged $2.15 per mile for their travel. The program allows for payments to be made either by check or cash, giving riders options that best suit their preferences. By engaging with this program, older adults can maintain their independence and stay connected to their community by having access to safe and affordable transportation services.
