The Special Transportation Service (STS) is a paratransit program designed to provide convenient and affordable transportation options for older adults. With a flat fee of $3.50 per one-way trip, older adults can access transportation services via bus or train within the community. By scheduling rides a few days in advance, riders can ensure they have reliable transportation to their desired destinations. STS offers shared rides and accepts pre-payment for added convenience. Riders can pay in cash and are encouraged to book their trips in advance to secure their spot. The program provides curb-to-curb transportation, making it easier for older adults to reach their destinations safely. Additionally, STS allows riders to travel with their service animals, ensuring they can access transportation without any barriers. STS is committed to providing a reliable and accessible transportation option for older adults in the community.
