Please make sure to contact Metro Community Services: Senior Transportation to confirm details of their transportation services.
Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social or recreational purposes. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old, or you have a disability. No membership is required.
The Transportation Assistance Program is a community service that offers older adults access to convenient and reliable transportation options. This program operates on a donation basis, allowing riders to contribute if they are able to, but there is no charge for utilizing the service. Riders must schedule their trips with advance notice, typically a few days beforehand, to ensure that a shared van ride can be arranged for them.
Using this program, older adults can enjoy curb-to-curb transportation, meaning they will be picked up and dropped off directly at their desired locations. The program's vans are specially equipped to accommodate older adults and prioritize their comfort and safety during the ride. By scheduling rides in advance, participants can better plan their outings and ensure they have transportation available to meet their needs.
