Through generous donations, Volunteer Help offers door-to-door private ride services using cars, ensuring that older adults in Worcester have a reliable means of getting to their destinations. Riders are encouraged to make a suggested donation of $4 for each round trip, although the service itself is free of charge. To utilize this service, older adults are required to schedule their rides in advance, typically a few days ahead of time, to ensure that a volunteer driver is available to assist them. Payments can be made conveniently in cash or by check, providing flexibility for riders. By booking a ride through Volunteer Help, older adults can enjoy personalized transportation that caters to their specific needs while fostering a sense of independence and connectivity within the community.
