The Senior Transportation program offers convenient transportation services for older adults using cars. Pricing for in-town rides (under 4 miles) is $3.00 one way or $6.00 round trip (under 8 miles). For out-of-town trips, the program follows the current federal mileage reimbursement rate. Participants will make a contribution towards the cost, determined with the help of CCT staff when scheduling a ride. Volunteer drivers collect these contributions, which can be returned to the driver or mailed to the CCT office. Payment can be made by check or cash, and the program charges based on the distance traveled. Rides must be scheduled in advance, providing flexibility and ensuring a smooth experience for older adults. The program emphasizes curb-to-curb transportation, focusing on helping older adults reach their destinations safely and comfortably.
