JAC Assist is a convenient transportation program designed for older adults in need of paratransit services. With JAC Assist, riders can schedule transportation a day in advance to ensure timely pick-up and drop-off. The program offers affordable pricing options, charging $3.00 for one-way trips within ¾ mile of any fixed route, and $6.00 for trips with an origin or destination between ¾ mile and one mile of a fixed route. Utilizing buses or trains, JAC Assist provides shared rides to accommodate the needs of multiple passengers. Riders are encouraged to book their trips a few days ahead of time and can conveniently pay for the service either by check or in cash. Service animals are welcome on board, and curb-to-curb transportation is provided for added convenience and accessibility. Overall, JAC Assist aims to make transportation seamless and affordable for older adults who require paratransit services.
