SCAT Paratransit is a specialized transportation program designed for individuals who are ADA eligible. This program offers convenient transportation options via bus or train for older adults who may have difficulty using traditional public transportation. The program operates on a flat fee structure, with ADA eligible riders and their companions being charged $4.00 per trip. Personal Care Attendants can accompany riders at no cost, making it easier for older adults to travel with necessary assistance. SCAT Paratransit offers curb-to-curb transportation, allowing riders to be picked up and dropped off directly at their desired locations. To utilize this program, older adults can simply pay in cash for their trips and schedule their rides a few days in advance. This program aims to enhance accessibility and independence for older adults by providing reliable and affordable transportation services tailored to their needs.
