MATA Plus Paratransit offers transportation services specifically designed to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities or other limitations that prevent them from using fixed-route public transportation. The program allows older adults to schedule rides for essential trips at a cost of $3.50 per one-way trip. Riders are required to book their rides in advance, offering flexibility for planning their travel a few days ahead. Participants can pay for their trips using various methods, including checks, cash, or pre-payment options. MATA Plus Paratransit provides shared rides, promoting a sense of community among riders. The program ensures convenience by offering curb-to-curb transportation, providing assistance from the point of pick-up to drop-off. Additionally, riders are welcome to bring their service animals along for the journey, offering a supportive and inclusive environment for all travelers.
