Provides rides for any purpose, as long as you meet one of the following criteria: you have a disability.
The ADA Paratransit program offers transportation services for individuals with disabilities or conditions that prevent them from using traditional public transportation. This program features accessible vans equipped to accommodate riders with mobility challenges. Older adults who rely on this service can schedule rides in advance, allowing them to conveniently plan their transportation to medical appointments, social activities, or other essential outings.
Rides through the ADA Paratransit program are available for a flat fee of $4.00 per one-way trip, providing a cost-effective transport option for older adults on a budget. Participants have the flexibility to pay in cash or by check, with the option to pre-pay for added convenience. Additionally, riders are able to share trips with others in the program, fostering a sense of community and reducing individual transportation costs.
Importantly, the ADA Paratransit program welcomes service animals on board, ensuring that older adults with assistance animals can travel comfortably and independently. By utilizing this specialized transportation service, older adults can maintain their mobility and independence while accessing the transportation support they need.
