Please make sure to contact Eastside Neighbors Volunteer Program: Volunteer Senior Transportation to confirm details of their transportation services.
Volunteer Senior Transportation offers a valuable service to older adults by providing transportation through volunteer drivers who use their own vehicles. One key benefit of this program is that it is completely free of charge, with no fares, mileage charges, or service fees involved. To utilize this service, older adults must schedule their rides in advance, typically a few days beforehand.
Rides through Volunteer Senior Transportation are shared, and transportation is provided in vans, ensuring comfort and safety during the journey. The program offers door-to-door and curb-to-curb transportation, making it convenient for older adults to access the transportation they need for various purposes, such as medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social outings. By relying on dedicated volunteers, this program not only helps older adults maintain their independence and mobility but also fosters a sense of community and support.
