Rural Routes is a public transit program designed to provide affordable and convenient transportation options for individuals in rural areas. This program offers a flat fee structure, with fares varying based on different criteria. Older adults aged 65 and above, individuals with disabilities, and those eligible for ADA services can avail themselves of transportation services for a reduced fare of $1.50 with proper identification, while the basic fare for other passengers is $3.00. Children aged 4 and under can ride for free.
One of the conveniences of the Rural Routes program is the option for pre-payment and the acceptance of credit card payments, offering flexibility for riders. Shared rides are available through this service, allowing passengers to travel together along fixed routes. The program operates on a fixed schedule, providing reliable transportation services for those in need of regular commutes.
