Please make sure to contact Jewish Family Services of Greater Orlando: Rides Program to confirm details of their transportation services.

Provides rides for any purpose, as long as you meet one of the following criteria: you are 65+ years old, or you have a disability.

The Rides Program is a wonderful transportation service available to older adults, offering them the opportunity to travel via car for their everyday needs. This program is unique in that it operates on a donation basis, making it accessible to those who may need assistance getting around. Participants of the program are entitled to benefit from two complimentary rides each month within a ten-mile radius of their residence, ensuring they can easily reach essential destinations. One of the standout features of this program is its dedication to supporting older adults with their belongings, as they are willing to help riders with packages or bags during their journey. To ensure a smooth experience, riders are required to schedule their rides in advance, typically a few days beforehand, allowing for proper arrangements to be made. The Rides Program provides shared rides, which not only promotes a sense of community but also helps reduce transportation costs by charging riders based on the distance traveled. When utilizing the Rides Program, older adults can expect a convenient curb-to-curb transportation service that caters to their specific needs and preferences. This program aims to enhance the mobility and independence of older adults without any associated fees, making it a valuable resource for those seeking reliable transportation options. For further information or to inquire about additional details, individuals are encouraged to reach out to the program for personalized assistance.
