Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social or recreational purposes. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you have a disability. No membership is required.
The Senior Center Transportation program offers older adults the opportunity to access affordable and convenient transportation services within the community. For a nominal fee of $2.00 per one-way trip, plus an additional $0.50 for any extra stops, older adults can schedule shared rides in advance to various destinations using the program's van service. The program emphasizes the importance of booking rides at least a few days ahead to ensure availability and efficient planning.
Payment for the transportation services can be made either by check or in cash, providing flexibility for older adults depending on their preference.
