STRIDE Paratransit Services is a transportation program specifically designed to meet the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities who may require assistance with their mobility. This program offers a convenient option for those who may find it challenging to use traditional public transportation services.
Riders of the STRIDE program can enjoy the flexibility of on-demand scheduling while also having the option to book rides in advance to ensure timely transportation. The program offers shared rides, allowing multiple passengers to travel together, promoting a sense of community and reducing costs for riders.
STRIDE Paratransit Services operates during both peak and off-peak hours, with different fares applying to each. The fare for off-peak hours is $1.50, while during peak hours, which are on weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the fare is $3.00. Payments can be made in cash or by check, and pre-payment options are available for added convenience.
In addition to offering curb-to-curb transportation, STRIDE welcomes riders with service animals, ensuring that all passengers can travel comfortably with their necessary companions. By providing these essential services, STRIDE Paratransit Services aims to enhance the mobility and independence of older adults and individuals with disabilities in the community.
