Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, or grocery shopping. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old. No membership is required.
The Transportation Assistance Program offers older adults the opportunity to access transportation services in their community. Participants can enjoy complimentary rides twice a week, with the option to pay a fee for additional rides when the AppalCart service is available in their area. This program utilizes buses and trains for transportation, ensuring a reliable and comfortable journey for older adults.
To utilize this service, older adults are required to schedule their rides a few days in advance, allowing for efficient planning and coordination.
