Please make sure to contact Utah County Health Department: Senior Companion Program to confirm details of their transportation services.
Provides rides for any purpose, as long as you meet one of the following criteria: you are 60+ years old.
The Senior Companion Program is a free transportation service available to older adults in the community. Donations are accepted to support the program's operations. Older adults who utilize this program can benefit from shared van rides for running errands, attending appointments, or any other necessary trips. To access this service, riders are required to schedule their rides in advance, typically a few days beforehand.
The program offers curb-to-curb transportation, meaning the driver will pick up the rider at their doorstep and drop them off at their destination. Additionally, riders can bring along packages or bags for assistance. One of the notable features is that the driver will wait for the older adult while they complete their errands or appointments, ensuring a convenient and stress-free experience.
By utilizing the Senior Companion Program, older adults can maintain their independence by accessing reliable transportation for their daily needs, all at no cost to them.
