Provides rides for only the following purposes: medical appointments. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old. No membership is required.
The Volunteer Transportation program offers older adults the opportunity to access transportation services through volunteer drivers. This program operates on a donation basis, with a suggested donation amount of $6.00 per ride, although nobody will be turned away for inability to pay. Participants can enjoy the convenience of shared rides, contributing to a sense of community and camaraderie during their journeys.
To utilize this program, older adults are encouraged to schedule their transportation needs at least one week in advance, ensuring efficient and timely service. Volunteer drivers provide curb-to-curb transportation, offering a supportive and reliable means of getting to various destinations. With a focus on accessibility and affordability, the Volunteer Transportation program aims to enhance the mobility and independence of older adults, enabling them to engage more fully in their communities.
